Getting around Paris with public transport is one of the fastest, most convenient, and eco-friendly ways to explore the city. Metros start every day at 05 :30am. Sunday through Thursday, they reach their last stop at 01 :15am. Friday and Saturday, they reach their last stop at 02:15am.

Getting around the city by Bike

Right in front of the Hotel, we are lucky to have a city bike station. They are called « Velibs ».

There are 1480 stations in the city ! It is the biggest self service bike rental in the world !

Did you know ? Using a bike to visit the city divides by 6 your environnemental impact compared to travelling with public transportation.

Using the Velibs is super easy. You can buy a pass directly at the machine in every Velib Station.

The different Velib Pass :
Pass 24h Classique – 5€ : You may ride your Velib for 30 minutes each ride for free. Every additionnal 30 minutes will be charged 1€. (Pro-tip : when your first 30 minutes are almost over, just park your bike in a Velib Station to reset the timer). With this pass you can also rent an E-Bike. The 45 minute ride will be charged 2€.
Pass 24h Electric – 10€ : You may ride your Velib for 60 minutes each ride for free. Every additionnal 30 minutes will be charged 1€. (Pro-tip : when your first 60 minutes are almost over, just park your bike in a Velib Station to reset the timer). With this pass you can also rent an E-Bike. You have 5 e-bike trips (45 minutes) included in the pass. Every additionnal trip will be charged 2€.
Pass 3 Days – 20€ : You may ride your Velib for 60 minutes each ride for free. Every additionnal 30 minutes will be charged 1€. (Pro-tip : when your first 60 minutes are almost over, just park your bike in a Velib Station to reset the timer). With this pass you can also rent an E-Bike. You have 5 e-bike trips (45 minutes) included in the pass. Every additionnal trip will be charged 2€.

The Most Beautiful Forests in Ile de France

Fontainebleau Forest
The Fontainebleau Forest covers 20,000 hectares surrounding the gardens of the Château de Fontainebleau’s national estate. Once a royal forest favored by kings for hunting, it now brings together the Trois Pignons and Fontainebleau woodlands, home to a rich variety of deciduous and coniferous trees. Recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the forest boasts lush, wild vegetation and impressive sandstone rock formations of all sizes. With 500 km of marked trails, it is a true haven for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. You can reach it by taking the RER D to Cesson, followed by the Transilien R.
Rambouillet Forest
A mix of oak and conifer trees, the Rambouillet Forest is also known as the "Forêt d’Yveline" due to its location in the southern part of the Yvelines department. Spanning 14,000 hectares, part of the forest lies within the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Natural Park and is one of the largest woodland areas in Île-de-France. Once a royal hunting ground, it is now prized for its diverse wildlife, ponds, rocky areas, sandy stretches, valleys, and waterfalls. The forest is particularly famous for the stag’s rutting season each autumn. It is easily accessible via the Transilien N.
Saint Germain en Laye Forest
A historic property of the Kings of France, the Saint-Germain-en-Laye Forest is entirely located within the commune of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Spanning 3,500 hectares, it is situated on a loop of the Seine, west of Paris. The forest can be easily reached by public transport via the RER A, with stops at Saint-Germain-en-Laye or Achères-Grand-Cormier.
